At this point, I don't think any teams are really "allied" with each other (truly allied, Chip & Kim are just working over Colin & Christie) so having a "friend" doesn't really matter. I mean, sure, it's being nice and if that's their nature, that's fine, but they're not under any obligation...

Of those three reasons you cited, I think the last is the more pertinent. I think people fear it will enable Illusions/Donate or some other wacky combo. The first reason maybe, the second I doubt.

I can't remember the article or who wrote it, but if you're confused and unclear, perhaps the writer didn't do a good job. I've heard the terms thrown around way back in the days of the Dojo or similar (late 90's), so perhaps the writer assumed the readers had a base knowledge of the terms...

I'm not positive but I don't think so... I think the only "valid" creature types are those to the right of the hyphen. I mean, they already have the "Creature" supertype and you can't name it as a creature type (Creature - Creature :) )

Well, I assume the Prerelease will be the first time players will actually get their hands on the physical cards and that's supposed be a fun environment anyway, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal...
