Well, either Jigglypuff or turgy22 could win on this one, but just in case they don't, keep them answers coming! Name 5 places where you might bring someone on a first date. PM your answer by Monday, 5/22 by 7:00 AM EST (because I'll be gone next week). Anyone can join in, of course.

D&D: Palace of the Silver Princess Level 2

Bertrem is unable to find any divine writings. Everything seems to be geared towards the "magical", not religious. Cugel opens some jars and sniffs them. They seem to be common herbs for the most part: mint, basil, oregano, etc.

The "problem" is is that it's NOT constant. We had a good several months lull before this week when HOUTS decided to check in again. And who knows why? Either he reads all of the threads, did a scan on his name to see if he was mentioned, or someone alerted him that his name popped up in this...

Since I wasn't privy to the deliberations this time :), can the committee explain their reasonings?

Starting to look at the scrolls will take another turn... Looking at your near full backpack, you think you can take maybe 2 books and 2 scrolls. No jars - they're too big. The scrolls seem to contain various info about experiments, history, diary, etc. Nothing really special.

turgy22: That was pretty much Isty's argument. However, if it's not formalized somewhere, the general rule has been that unless they're actively cussing someone out or posting spam, we let it be. If "we" (meaning the majority) ban everyone who disagrees with our opinion, then a) this would be...

It wasn't a public debate. It was whether to ban him based on his posting. Some of us felt yes and some felt no. As he's still here, you can see the results of the decision.

D&D: Palace of the Silver Princess Level 2

You find that there's 10 more feet to the west, so the room goes 50' east-west. Nothing looks obviously "magical" but a lot of stuff sure looks weird. Like I said, various stuffed animals (of the common variety), jars of different colored powders and strange looking herbs. No traps or secret...

    The Border Laws!

Well, they could try to get green cards or work visas but we all know those are limited and let's face it, the US pays better than what they can earn at home. It's that simple. Want to get rid of the illegal immigrants? Raise the source country's standard of living so they don't feel the need...

    Mission 1: The Prisoner

"All right! Good job train." If there isn't any way to see inside the building or door without opening it, Melkor and I will position ourselves as near as the door as possible while keeping hidden while train opens it to check inside (if that's okay with him).

D&D: Palace of the Silver Princess Level 2

The door opens to a large room, so large that your torches don't reach the west wall. It's 30' north-south though. It's filled with stuffed animals, shelves filled with books and scrolls, and jars of powders and herbs. Strange symbols are painted on the walls. An iron statue of a warrior...

    Mission 1: The Prisoner

** I should have been more specific. I meant Melkor and I were going to provide cover and take care of any reinforcements that might have arrived if train's battle attracted attention. I was assuming train was moving stealthy and trying to take out the guard without attracting attention so we...

    The Border Laws!

Honestly, like I said, before, I think they ought to become legalized. The question is why haven't they? I'm sure there are an abundance of reasons... But frankly, I think there are enough existing problem with the current "legal" citizens of the US who actually break laws that affect...

D&D: Palace of the Silver Princess Level 2

"I'd be glad to help you in ridding the castle of this evil... saves me the trip of going back into town and trying to join another group. I'm Kurik." No markings on his armor or looking familiar - it's just battered, dented plate and shield. Standard checks at the door reveal no sounds...
