No prob, I don't know how comfortable you are with Excel. In a column next to the card name, put "=RAND()" (without the quotes). That calculates a random number between 0 and 1. Then select the card column and random number column and sort on the random number.

I was thinking that for ties, the players still lose the life and THEN have to bid life again. But that was just in response to setting up the Weatherlight game so not sure how practical that actually is. I say try it once and see how it actually goes :)
