The reason I've always heard is "collectors" and that seems to be a horrible reason. It would make them look stupid if they went back on the reserved list. But if they wanted to not look stupid, why get involved in Magic in the first place? :p

Elder Dragon Legends are normally not very good. But with the help of some broken enchantments, that can change. Nicol Bolas has a particularly good ability. Of course, the enchantments I have in mind are Survival of the Fittest and Sneak Attack.
