RPG Chapter One... In the Court of the King

The garish and brightly clad Adar A'Bornia is quite at home in such surroundings, although he is the youngest son of a family that is just barely noble. While his father still had to work to maintain their noble lifestyle he was spoiled by his mother, spending all his time on fencing, dancing...

    WWTY Round 6 - Results

That was the big conundrum, go with the actual original X-Men or go with the more popular X-Men. I pretty much knew that I had to put down Wolverine though, so Angel was the obvious bump in my mind. I was worried about Iceman but it turned out to be the right choice. On a side note, I like...

    New RPG sign-up board...

I better post a character now. John Jar grew up on an average farm but discovered early in his life that farming was not for him. At the age of 15 he ran off to join a small mercenary company. His first night he was almost killed by the other members in a brutal beating that was his...

    New RPG sign-up board...

I wish to return to this land of mystery and magic. Who I will be is yet to be determined. Ridal A'Bornia my previous incarnation is by now an insane shell of his former self, and with Rebrouge the way he is, we don't need anyone else styling themselves a god. So I will play someone different...

What would you like to see in the next RPG?

I voted for city adventure because I've always regretted missing out on that second adventure.

Beyond Balderdash: Question 6 Answer and Scores

I guess I shouldn't laugh at anyone who answered number two because I was about to before I noticed that Interceptor starts with I not L.

Greater Good and other weird cards

My vote from this list has to go to Greater Good. There is nothing more fun than attacking for 7 with a Rancored Weathersead Treefolk then sacking it, getting the cards back and four more besides. Could someone explain why Martyrdom is so "fun." Seems pretty pedestrian to me.

    One word: Pathetic...

Aren't those articles written as jokes, I mean, I haven't read them but judging from Dukes quotes I would say that the articles were written tongue in cheek. Not to be taken seriously. It would truly be pathetic if they were seriously scrounging for votes for some online popularity contest, I...

    Just wondering......about the RPG...

I've been following and enjoying it as well, I've always regretted not getting in on the second RPG and this one makes me wish I had gotten involved too. Keep up the good work.

    Platforms

Although its unlikely that I'll buy any of the new systems, if I were I would buy the GameCube. Call it mindless loyalty to Nintendo, but I've never felt cheated by any of their products that I have bought and they're the only true video game hardware maker left.

    New Game: Tribond

My knowledge of the obscure is vast and currently untapped. I would like to join the game.

    Check only one:

I know that my style and thought process most closely align with the beatdown strategy. That said, I've come to the conclusion that in order to be competitive with my friends I have to play decks that have the ability to "Counter target spell." Simply put, blue is the most powerful color in...

    Exodus or Stronghold?

It seems to me that Exodus has more powerful rares but that Stronghold has an advantage in uncommons and commons. I know that I hardly ever use Exodus cards outside of the rares and forbid. However, Survival of the Fittest, Recurring Nightmare, Oath of Druids, Oath of Ghouls are hard to pass...

    Latest avalanche of Planeshift cards...

I might play Terrible Tutor but its not an accurate description of whats happenning because you can discard any two cards, you have to discard specific cards with Diabolic Intent (DR and a creature). Still its not overly broken, at least in type 2, because it requires a significant number of...

    Draw - Draw - Draw - Draw - Draw - Draw Go

You should also consider Browse as permanent card drawing on the table. Its in 6th and especially with a larger deck it can definitely be a machine. Also, even though it doesn't draw cards, Soothsaying is a wonderful way to stack the deck in your favor.

    What's Your Alignment?

I think that certain colors just kind of go together. Red and Green complement each other nicely, you have efficient creatures from each, then a little burn from red and a little pump from green. White and Blue also go together because of their defensive natures, and the fact that white can...

    What's Your Alignment?

Its all about enemy colors, I mean the whole point of going multicolor in the first place is to get some diversity. Currently I have 6 fully operational decks, 1 monoblack, 1 Green-Blue, 2 Red-Blue, 1 Red-White, and the final deck is 3 colors White Blue and Green so it is pretty allied. As you...

    NExt banned Card

Actually, Enlightened Tutor is banned in Type 1.5 and restricted in Type 1. I'm not sure that Sterling Grove will be restricted, for the big reasons of course that its not an instant and it costs GW rather than just W. Another point is that Enlightened Tutor probably sees the least amount of...

D&D and RPG and Anti-Anime Propaganda

I always found the Rifts rules to be plenty simple. I have two big gripes though with the whole system, the first being the MDC and SDC difference. Its too big. How are you supposed to get in fist fights when you're always scared that some random guy will pull out 1d6 MDC pistol and blow you...
