It was a typo. No need to growl about it. And I hadn't known that they were lizardmen in D&D. They are actually cavemen (also Pan troglodytes is the species name of the common chimpanzee). But that still doesn't explain them being a candidate for BigBlue's favorite insect...

You're probably thinking of when it was banned in Extended, which started in 2000 and ended when Mercadian Masques (the last set to include Dark Ritual) rotated out of the format.
