My Battering Ram also has banding. While I like your suggestions, I think I'll actually go with a slightly different distribution: 1 to the Sage of Lat-Nam, 1 to the Priest of Yawgmoth, 3 to the Yotian Soldier, and 2 to the Grapeshot Catapult.

I really don't have much experience with this set, which I find a bit unfortunate because I love Ice Age and Alliances, despite the massive amount of crappy cards in Ice Age... The first card that came to mind was actually Dark Depths. Not sure if it's because Dark Depths was the first card...

Of course it depends what kind of deck, but these have been the staples for me... White: Swords to Plowshares and Disenchant. To a lesser extent, there are also cards like Land Tax, White Knight, Mother of Runes, and Ivory Mask, but they're more deck-specific. Blue: Force of Will, Brainstorm...

I doubt my deck would stand a chance against multiple opponents, otherwise I'd be game...
