I don't understand this post. Could you elaborate? Do you seriously think that Elspeth is better in Vintage than Tezzeret? And what's this about Affinity? Tezzeret is already the centerpiece of its own control deck? Why are you trying to fit it into some other, worse deck?

Up until, I think, late 1999, it was possible to announce a spell, then use LED to get the mana to pay for it, even if the spell was in your hand. So really ANY spell that you were willing to lose your hand to pay for could combo with LED. If anything, the card should have been better back then...

I just got mine. Turns out that it wasn't shipped from Seattle at all. The packages says it's from Grand Prairie, Texas. I didn't even know that WotC had a facility way down there, but my 30 seconds of internet-based research seems to suggest that it's a distribution place of some sort. Who knew?
