I have Windows 2000 and old games that were supposed to run on DOS, etc. work fine for me (I do play Shandalar on my computer in addition to some even older games). With a newer OS, probably the only option is to get one of those emulator things.

My burn deck can potentially outrace Story Circle. I don't have Lava Spike, but if I did, that's 12 total three damage for one mana cards (Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, and Lava Spike). Then there's Fire Blast, etc. Story Circle by itself is not going to stop something like that in time.

Legacy. It's generally more accessible. Even though the top decks aren't as broken as Vintage decks, they're still fierce enough that if people are playing them, the metagame is rather prohibitive of budget decks. But it could be worth a shot, at least much moreso than Vintage...
