    Casual Variant: Brawl

Participated in a Brawl event yesterday and had a lot of fun with it. I posted my decklist in the casual decks forum and I was going to comment on the format too, but I remembered this thread and it seemed like the more appropriate place for that... It seems like, probably with a trend...

Captain Lady (Jhoira Brawl one last time) [Brawl]

Some of the people at my LGS were involved in early testing for the Brawl format and they tried to rope everyone into it from the start. I built a Jhoira deck for format as soon as Dominaria was released, but I guess I didn't really talk about it much here. Well, I did. And I didn't play it very...

    Modern Horizons

To be fair, the set is aimed primarily at Modern, a format that isn't available on Arena. I know that the position of MTGO when it comes to Modern and to the Eternal formats is rather nuanced and my quip wasn't intended to address that (hence the smiley). The point has been raised elsewhere...

    Magic Memories: Nether Void

Perhaps this one doesn't strictly fall under the category of "memories." Or perhaps it does? One of the two, probably... No really, I can start off with two important points. I love Nether Void. I think it's one of the coolest cards in the game. I have very little experience actually playing...

No one plays MTGO anyway. :p

    Warhammer Quest: The Sylvan Epic

Carrow tumbles through the wall and, before he finishes the process, becomes visible. Coril spots him and moves in to attack. Revaethan manages to get a sword-arm through the wall and brandishes it at Coril. The shadowy figure on the other side of the wall paces across the length of the...

    Explorers of Ixalan Game 3

Speaking of which, I see that Mooseman explored "I" on his turn, but he revealed "H" instead (the text for "I" is still invisible). I filled the tile for "H" in with white on the doc on the assumption that he actually explored it and left "I" alone. Is this correct?

    Magic Memories: Overrun

I don't have much more to say about Overrun. I've seen it in a lot of decks. I've run it myself on occasion, but not really that much and it wasn't a memorable card in any of my decks. I've been killed by it and I've had to counter it. I've seen it win games. I've seen it fail to win games...

Gitrog County Municipal Lake Dredge Appraisal [EDH]

Got some more gameplay with this abomination at my LGS. It's a tricky deck to play and I plan on keeping it around for a long, long time. I made some blunders at key junctures in a couple of games and had horrendous luck in others, so I didn't win very much. Still, I think my current list is...

    The Notorious M.R.B. [EDH]

At long last, after everyone had forgotten about this thread, I present an actual decklist... The Notorious M.R.B. Version 1.0 1x Acquire 1x Animate Dead 1x Arcane Denial 1x Arcane Lighthouse 1x Arcane Sanctum 1x Beacon of Unrest 1x Brainstorm 1x Bribery 1x Coffin Queen 1x Command Tower 1x...

    Warhammer Quest: The Sylvan Epic

-The Power Phase is 2 for this turn. But the wall seems to be opaque to all forms of magic anyway, so no one on the other side can help Carrow (they can watch his shadow and Coril's shadow through the wall, though). -Carrow activates his Ring of Invisibility. -Carrow shoots Coril in the thigh (4...

    Magic Memories: Overrun

For casual play Overrun is still decent. I tend not to see it much, but it does occasionally make its way into a deck. The downfall of Overrun wasn't that the game moved past the power or speed of the effect, but simply that better options have become available. Overrun was first, but it isn't...

    Yet another experimental mulligan

I wanted to let this sit for a few days before launching into some overblown tirade about it, which was, of course, my first inclination. Well, I think I've done so. And now, having had some time to let the idea stew, I'll say... I suspect that this really does make Limited gameplay more...
