The only one I know to have seriously performed was Clamp of Kher Keep, which got out Carnival of Souls, dropped Kobolds and used the black mana to Skullclamp them over and over, eventually casting Dark Ritual and Tendrils of Agony... They could perhaps work with something like Opposition...

As soon as Skullclamp is added, this starts turning into a Clamp-Kobold deck, which was a brilliant deck, but a completely different concept than this one... It is unfortunate that Skullclamp was also a component of Ravager Affinity decks and was banned in order to weaken that archetype in...

This does bring up another issue altogether, and an interesting one: the idea of cards that have certain effects if they are countered. It would provide some incentive for your opponent not to counter them, and it would also combo well with your own countermagic...
