Picks are tremendous, of course, but passes defensed count for a point apiece, and are a little more common. Usually the 2 go hand in hand though, I would think, and picks are more than a little bit the result of luck too. Hope that helps...:D

And level 3, and 4. Found the lower sewers, I have, and I've been gaining lots of xp and gold fighting rust spitters. I've actually managed to build up my equipment to the top of the line stuff (at least, out of what's available). Too bad everything besides the rust spitters is still whupping...

Then we fight...:D I attempt to coordinate my efforts with the "heathier men" that have stepped up to try and assist me in protecting the "screeming" women and children. Mostly though, I just try and keep them all clear while I swing my big knife around...;)
