I believe we can. And I'm going to do my best to do my part to get us there.
You may have noticed that updates to the Voting Booth have sometimes been a little slow. It's to be expected, since Mike's been really busy with re-writing, from what I gather, the whole site, not to mention the fact that he's a high-school student (homework, homework, homework).
Unfortunately, that makes it hard to judge how our people feel about the issues we discuss every day in the forums. Sure, we know what the people who post replies think, but what about the rest of us? That group that doesn't post replies? You know the ones I'm talking about. The silent ones.
This distresses me, because before we can even pretend to be representative of casual players everywhere we need to know where the rest of us stand. To me, that's a large part of the reason why we have a Voting Booth, but without timely updates to the voting subjects we'll never get our act together with reference to WotC.
So I've been pestering Mike lately about the need for updates. And, while I understand perfectly well why he hasn't been able to do it, it doesn't change the fact that it needs to be done. He agreed, and offered me the chance to do it.
I accepted. Hell, I jumped at the chance, and I posted a new voting topic right away. I guess the Booth can handle 8-10 different voting topics at once, so you can expect a fresh choice to be posted, say, every week.
And there will be. This much I can promise you, and with the start we've already got on it, I think we'll have quite a while before we run out of things to vote on.
Speaking of promise, the time is now to find out if we can fulfill ours. Everything is in place and we're ready to rock.
At the risk of repeating myself (again)...
See you in the Voting Booth.
