Contest Entry - Vatican Rag
By Russell Sherman
Hello, this is Duel here. I am submitting a couple decks for the contest that I think deserve to be looked over. First off, I am, in the strictest sense of the word, a casual player. Tournaments and me have this ten-foot-pole thing about each other, and my decks are built to be fun to play.

Deck Name: Vatican Rag

Okay, it's a slightly cheese-filled combo, but Blinding Angel and Fervor work well together.

8 Plains
12 Mountains

4 Blinding Angel
4 Task Force
4 Laccolith Whelp
4 Laccolith Grunt
4 Tonic Peddler

4 Fervor
4 Moment of Silence
2 Sluggishness
2 Cessation
2 Ghitu War Cry
2 Enlightened Tutor
4 Cho-Manno's Blessing

At first glance, it bears a faint resemblance to Eruption. Blinding Angel and Fervor means your opponent cannot block and has no attack step ever. If that fails, the Laccolith/Ghitu War Cry. The Ghitu War Cry is a Type II Firebreathing, so if they block, their creatures die, if they don't, they die. This deck works. It's even Type II legal (now), unless I'm mistaken. Plus it's fun.
