I have toyed with it sooooo much that I cannot, for the life of me, recall the original deck. But I'll try.
I always started with the basic combo in mind: Erratic Portal and The Spike Bros. (Weav and Feed). The early versions carried 4 of each:
4x Erratic Portal
4x Spike Weaver
4x Spike Feeder
Since I love countermagic, I always added a splash, I think the original had just 8 spells:
4x Counterspell
4x Mana Leak
I always loved Tradewind Rider but never wanted to put them in a casual deck so I used Man-O-War (later, I added Guilded Drake). It was during this time that I thought adding Equilibrium was a good idea.
4x Man-O-War
2x Guilded Drake (later version)
2x Equilibrium
Since it was originally for multi-player, I added Gaea's Blessing for recursion.
3x Gaea's Blessing
I usually have a Sylvan Library (and again, a later version had Abundance) in it for diggin' through my deck.
1x Sylvan Library
1x Abundance
Throw in 4x Impulse and you pretty much have the deck (un-tweaked).
The objective of the deck has and always will be: NOT TO LOSE
The difference being that I never tried to "WIN" with this thing, but to stay alive so long that I became the winner via Bordom/others decking themselves or just plain opponent frustration

!
I had White in it at times, I carried Disenchant/ Wrath of God/Gerrard's Wisdom.
Sometimes I made room for Propaganda and/or a tad more countermagic

.
I always have had 4x Tropical Islands (since like 1998), so I've always used them.
Here's what it looked like in the Mirage/Tempest T2 era:
3x Spike Weaver
3x Spike Feeder
2x Erratic Portal
1x Equilibrium
4x Counterspell
4x Mana Leak
2x Forbid
3x Gaea's Blessing
1x Sylvan Library
4x Impulse
4x Propaganda
4x Birds of Paradise
2x Capsize
3x Man-O-War
10x Island
6x Forest
4x Skyshroud Forest (or whatever it's name was for the Tempest U/G pain-in-the-ass-land)
It did okay for me and I enjoyed playing it.
FYI-I remeber posting this on the Dojo one time and Chaos Turtle responded (circa 1998).
Whatinthehell are you going to do to my "Signature" deck anyways?
Good Luck, I hope you enjoy as much as I do (whatever it looks like

).
