It sounds like it could be an urban legend but it was in the Post (vs being in the Enquirer or something). That's not to say even that publication can get hoodwinked, but geez...

Yeah, but nails to the head!?!?!? There's gotta be a better way to alieviate pain aside from causing possibly lethal damage to one's cranium!

Almindhra: I don't think it's disgusting, but definitely STUPID.

Chaos Turtle: Well, the incident wasn't mentioned in the Baltimore Sun, the other paper I read, and the Sun usually always has some dopey news item on its international page (though the news item doesn't have to be international). I was just trying to say the Post is a couple steps above traditional rumor-mongering sources, IMHO.
