Type 2 Black/Blue Deck Needs Help

Hi, As you all know I've been trying to make a deck for type 2. Most of the time my plans never work out. But heres a deck that I think will do good with the proper help. I only have Invasion and Prerelease in this because I can't think of the other cards in type 2 that are leagle. Here it is.

I'm fairly certain that this deck can handle most Fires. I'm not sure what else to expect in the environment. It should handle the Dark Crusades and maby the Rebles. Any discard type Deck would slaughter me. A fun combo would be with the dralnu's Pet and Draco. Otherwise I doubt Draco will ever hit the board.

Well, this looks to me like a fun deck. Hopfully viable in type 2. What do you all think of it. Be brutal. Thanks for all the help

Mainly the purpose of Draco is a 9/9 for 8. I know what your gona say, That by the time I get him out I'll either be dead or winning.

But another reason is to use this with Dralnu's Pet. At best I can get two familiars by turn 3 and cast a 18/18 flying Dralnu's Pet on turn 4. If the opponent dosn't respond fast he's dead by turn 6. I know its rare, but its fun :)

Maby I should take 2 out? Put Some other powerful creature in. I don't know.

Ponder this, cheap artifact, and Toymaker in play, Draco in hand.

Might be a fun idea to tinker around with.

Never mind, I had momentary brain malfunction.
I thought "its converted Mana cost" meant the card You discarded i.e. 16/16 Artifact Creature.
Silly Me I ought to read the cards more carefully.
Oh well. :)

I count 69 in your list (40 spells, 29 lands).

You have too many double colored mana costs for a three colored deck. That means you're not likely to cast them at their total converted mana cost. For example, you have 6 Islands, 4 Darigaaz's Caldera -- Undermine is really difficult to use, even Counterspell would be easier.

Some cards are only useful only with kicker, which means they are cast only when you have at least 6 mana sources -- Dralnu's Pet, Stormscape Battlemage, Waterspout Elemental?, Agonizing Demise (might as well use Terror).

Basically what I'm saying is that you need to speed up the deck by playing cheaper, more efficient spells to enable you to survive to the mid game.

Crap, I double checked it too.

Well, I'll just have to fix it later.

The Morain Terrain should help out any mana problems I'm having, but I would like to make this deck faster.

The cards that are mana intensive are cards that are only nessisary in the late game. The way I plan it is to play the cards down without kicker for blocking. Then use the master to bring cards back to my hand so I can use the kicker. The master is also to slow the opponent down. With those and terminate to kill anything I cant handle I should be able to live till the midgame.

The Sisay's Ingenuity is a great card. Just a U for a Draw a card and an extra little ability. This works great for things with protection Like chomanno Blessing. It saved my butt during limmited, Although I know limited is much different than constructed.


Do you have any Idea how I can Fix my Land Problem. I thought I had 23.
