Superhuman Powers!

If you had a choice between two superhuman powers - invisibility or flying - which would you choose? Think hard on this one and tell me which you would take and your reasons you wouldn't take the other.

For all you skeptics:

Flying means you can travel at 1,000 mph at any altitude comfortably. (This doesn't include Superman's other powers like being bullet-proof)

Invisibility means that no sign of you will be seen. When you choose to be invisible, your clothes will be invisible too but anything you move will be visible (like a ghost).

Tell me some of the other superhuman powers you would have if you could choose anything. Don't worry about being too crazy, this is the CPA for crying out loud!

Invisibility, definately. Guys know the main reason why. It is also great for espionage. I'd work as a spy.

...Nodnarb, you don't need to be invisible to do THAT, all you need is a sparkle of charm.

Everything is possible. You know, what is impossible is ONLY the untried. Given the right circumstances, everyone can break impossiblity, believe me. I'm not saying I have, but yet again...I've been dangerously close...

...and I don't wish I can fly, I wish I can fly higher than I already do. (Or is that Apollo's wish?)

Does flying mean you could safely go through space (at altitudes of millions and billions of miles)?

Shape-changing would be cool!

Of course you can go into space but there are the little issues called pressure and oxygen.

Personally, I would like to have mind reading powers; or telekenesis would be cool to have. Shapeshifting could even be funner than invisibility.

...mind reading powers? Like telepathy? I don't think those are really "powers", their part of a science, unlike shape-shifting or invisibility.

...telekinesis is what I questionable, but I still believe in its existance...

Well, I like flying because it's a great mode of transportation. Plus, I always fly in my dreams, never turn invisible.

Personally I`d fly - breakfast in Paris, lunch in Bangkok, dinner in LA. The world is your plaything.
Plus it`s GOT to get you more of the chicks.

For some reason, I always have to run somewhere or away from something and usually I'm in an open area and because it's a dream I always run in slow mo so I try to take to the air and fly, figuring it would be faster (or at least get me away from whatever's chasing me)

As for myself I would rather have the all illusive 5th sence.

I would choose flying myself. After walking around campus all day long, this would come in very handy.

I also love dreams where I fly! They're my favorite.

I'd choose invisibility.

Flying is too obvious and would end up you having trouble (how many place could you take off from without being seen??)

My favorite would be teletransportation : instant travel to any place. No hassle with the flying and stuff that still takes time. Giz : even at 1000 mph, you would be spending most of your time travelling. London NY = 3,5 hours. London Hong Kong 7 or 8 hours.

With teleportation you could have a 1 room apartment in many places of the world. Bedroom in Paris (for the french bread at breakfast, Bathroom in a tropical place, Sauna in Norway, toilet on the top of a water fall etc etc ...

No mention was made whether having these powers would cause a problem... just which one you would like. Maybe everyone else has a power, so it's not so unusual...

somebody could shoot you out of the sky if you were flying, but people wouldn't be able to see you if you're invisible, so they couldn't shoot you.

If you're invisible, can you go through walls?

BTW, did anybody see that episode of Lois & Clark (I can't believe that I remember this) where there were invisible men and superman caught them by pouring flower on them so he could see where they were?

I'd choose flying. With big obsidian wings. Deployed only when necessary, Escaflowne-style. So what if they'd be too heavy? I have superhuman powers.


Then I'd get some obsidian armor, and a diamond-edged obsidian sword, gilded with silver in the shape of the Xarvoxian rending rune.
