My keyboard is totally broken. I am typing this with an on-screen keyboard. I might not be posting much until I can fix or replace my keyboard. I can use other computers probably, but if I am gone for a few days, don't be surprised.

Wouldn't it be cheaper just to replace the keyboard (assuming you get a basic model)?

But see ya when you get back.

I've been using the same keyboard for 10 years now. They usually don't break unless you're always lugging it around for LAN parties....

Oh wait, nevermind... We break plenty of loaner PC keyboards and mice when we're either setting up or carting everything out of storage.

If by "cheaper" you mean "free" then yes. I figured that my neighbor would probably sell me an extra, but he just gave it to me. He was all, "it's obsolete technology anyway."

Well, no, I meant cheaper than fixing it (so you would have gone with the replacement option). Since the basic keyboard is pretty cheap, I figured it'd be better than trying to bring the broken one in and paying for the diagnostic and fix.

But if you got free, cool.

What's your neighbor use, voice activated software or something (said half in jest :) )?
