Since I can't find it, what's the rating column's purpose? How do I use it?

At the bottom right there is an option to rate the thread. It is a neat option, however, I doubt it will ever have any serious use.

I think this was put in because a few people wished they could rate threads a la the Dojo. However, except for this one, I haven't seen it used so either they forgot about it or aren't here anymore
