magic software

Hello everyone,

This is probably wishful thinking but I'll ask anyway. Is there any M:TG software that would allow me to create my own decks and playtest against my computer?

Someone in Italy made a piece of SW called MAGMA...

Do a search here to find it...

It doesn't have all the cards in it yet, and it's pretty rudimentary AI which isn't very good - it uses painlands for colored mana to cast artifacts...

But, it is something for the magic starved PC...

The best you can find is Magma at the moment my friend.

But if you can't stand the absense of all those sets you'll have to use the other neat .\\agic software available like Magic Suitcase, Magic the Database, Apprentice, or Spellbook to playtest your decks.

Apprentice and Suitcase I've tried, neither have any AI to play against, but the rest just seem to be the same from what I've read about them.

It also has playtesting....

I'm really not knowing here...

How do both work...

and does apprentice have a better engine than suitcase or no?...(deck generato, etc...)

Well, I haven't really used Suitcase's playtesting section. You can build a deck and apparently it'll show you various stats like mana ratios and stuff... and some practice draws. I don't know if it has a random Sealed type generator, I'll look.

Which of these (Magic Suitcase, Magic the Database, Apprentice, or Spellbook) is the best? Is one easier than the others? I haven't used any of these so which would you suggest I try?

Magic Suitcase and Apprentice, the ones I'm familiar with, doesn't have AI so all you can do is practice draws and "goldfish" your deck. Not sure about the others.
