Is it just my bad luck or what?

I got 15 packs of Invasion today and I pulled 6 foils.
1 Forest
1 Mountain
1 Armadillo Cloak
1 white common thing
2 black common thing

The problem is that they were all behind the rare in the pack (on the bottom) and I was shorted an uncommon for each one. This may not be a big deal to some, but I'm looking for alot of uncommons from the set and don't want some shiny chaff card in its place. Though I did like the lands and cloak and was happy with them, I was a tad miffed with the rest replacing my precious uncommons!

Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you trade much? Maybe you can get some regular uncommons for your foils...

...EVERYONE is looking for Invasion foils and foil Basic Lands.
Since you got many of them, you could easily trade them for better cards. Easily. Trade them, they'll go fast.

I just got two pre-constructed decks, from the shop owner, for 3 shiny's, an island, a B/R cameo, and an Opt. (or something like that). Foils are 'HOT' right now, (but not for me-I just don't get it-do they produce extra mana or do more points of damage?).

If you have a bunch of foils in your deck, and you foils of good spells like, counterspell, shock, solid playable cards, then people look at you go "Oooooooooooooo, he must be good"...Now granted those are the bad players...but still, it makes you feel powerful!

Well, I haven't made a deck out of foils...But we do have 9 ( or more ) foiled swamps...They're just so precious...Oh wait, my Replenish deck had a bunch of foils in it...I had plains and islands in there...And a foiled Replenish...Luke has a foiled Brainstorm signed by DeTerlizzi that says 'To Doe & Luke' on it...But my deck (black) will come one day!!...

Anyone want to give me a foiled Blazing Specter?...heh heh...

I also hate getting a foil land in place of an uncommon, it should count as a common since its a land.

Well thanks for replying everyone. But the original idea behind this thread was that foils don't seem to just be randomly inserted into the proper rarity slots anymore as they were from legacy through prophecy, they seem more fixed so that there are so many in a box and whatnot.

Anyway, the white common thing I got was an Angel of Mercy and the two black common things are a Defiling Tears and a Phyrexian battleflies.
Any takers, I want the new psuedo-duals and cameos.

Well, at least the foil Phyrexian Battle Flies isn't too bad. And you're right, Invasion seems to have a very strange coalition to it. The rare and uncommons are the end of the pack, unlike every set for the past 2 or 3 years, and the foils are always either on the bottom of the pack(in boosters) or right after the basic lands(in decks).

From what I've seen so far, Invasion has more foils then other recent sets too. In a box of Prophecy, I only got 4 foils. I haven't even gotten a box of Invasion yet(I'm getting one tomorrow)but I already have 6 Invasion foils just from opening around 12 packs and 2 decks.

I think moggbomber is right, there do seem to be more foils in invasion then in previous sets.

Ura: Same thing happened to me at the prerelease.
I got a foil mountain and forest in a pack, and only got 1 uncommon. I was mighty PO'ed.
