Anyone on the upper East Coast affected adversely by it?

We lost power from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon... lost all the food (well, I think we could keep the freezer stuff but my wife says no way). That's about it... fortunately no damage to the house or anything like that.

they have a cooler now that keeps ice solid ice for about 48 hours...

That probably could have come in handy...

I haven't had any real trouble up here, but I haven't had school since Wednesday. Two people I know didn't have power until this morning, though. That can't be much fun.

I got slightly wet. There was almost a noticable difference in smell on my shirt. But that may have been sweat.

Oh yes, I'm supposed to sympathise aren't I? Jolly good.

Well, we had a couple of reports that a few Nightstalkers ran around during the storm and got a little crispy when they finally found out that us Nightstalkers attract lightning better than old people waving around golf clubs during a lightning storm.

If only that protection from red thing would carry over into the real world.... Poor unlucky bastards. Hee hee.

I lost power for a massive 2 hours and a tree got knocked down in my front yard, but it didn't fall on anything so there was no damage.

Down here in FL we were completely missed, but our weathermen kept saying "It could veer our way at ANY minute" the whole time before it made landfall...

...on a related note, televangelist Pat Robertson said that he was going to tell God to divert the hurricane from the Carolinas... I guess God was too busy dealing w/ more important things that day...
