Okay, first of all allow me to enlighten you all as to how to get the maximum eating effect for what I call: T-Day
I have heard this statement over and over again, "I'm not going to eat anything all day so I can feast-down on a lot of food at dinner."
<Buzzzzzzzz>
Wrong answer.
When you 'fast' for nearly the entire day your stomach shrinks and therefore is not prepared for mass quantities of Thanksgiving goodness. Eat normally throughout the day, however, when it comes to the "Pre-Eating" time aka ou'dourves time, cut back as much as possible. Only a few carrot sticks or corn chips with salsa. Thats it. Its the munchies that usually kills your maximum effectiveness of chowing down. If you have a mother-in-law like mine then you know that she'll make enough food for 10 grown college boys to eat hearty. So don't feel guilty about chowing down. last note, cut back on the carbs at dinner, MAN! Mashed potatos AND stuffing are a good way to get you filled up quickly, reach for the cranberry sauce instead and only choose ONE of the Carb-Gobblers.
Oh, btw, have a great one and be thankful for our favorite game
