This is the store for gametees.com, a site that sells Magic related T-shirts. One of their newest innovations beyond website T-shirts(they turned us down about seven months ago for a T-shirt) is a "phrase" T-shirt like the "I use to be schitzo, but now we're fine" type of shirts like ya'll have probably have seen.


This one seems to push the limit too much in the manner of taste. The image of Gamers as "Loosers" is too exagerated as of now, and the image of "Loosers" as "ready to explode" is also too exagerated(which may give some poor kids a better life due to fear, but it still isn't right.)

Has enough time passed to where jokes like this can be uttered?

I don't get it. That link only goes to a page that shows a t-shirt reading, "Panic now...Avoid the rush." I looked around the site and saw two "joke" shirts. one said "Got Mana?" and the other one was something about dragons eating me with ketchup.
I didn't see anything that disparages gamers. So, what are you talking about?

I thought it was funny and unless the linkis pointing to the wrong page I dont see how it any way disparages gamers. It`s just a good line.

This is being marketed to the same peer group as those kids.

What slogan exactly are you talking about? I'm not seeing how Magic-related t-shirts (or any other t-shirt at gametees.com) are being marketed particularly toward high school kids. If there is some connection to a couple of maladjusted teenagers blowing away their classmates in an orgy of terror...well, I'm just not seeing it. People panic all the time, even when thay are not being shot at or having jet planes crashed into their woprkplaces.

T-shirt I'd like to see: The new Erhnam Djinn with an AK-47 in one hand and a pipe bomb in the other, Ivory Tower burning in the background (with a Shivan Dragon sticking halfway out the side) and the dismembered corpses of Sengir Vampire and Serra Angel at his feet.

Some people need to stop being overly sensitive...I'd be proud to wear a t-shirt like that and feel like the gamer I am...They're witty and funny!...And I laughed when I read them all....

I think theorgg interpreted "Panic now... avoid the rush" as meaning that everybody around the wearer will be panicking shortly when he pulls out a gun. Or something like that. And while I can see that interpretation, I don't think it was intended that way.

That's exactly what I got from it... Never mind me... being thirteen miles from the first, and thirty from a copycat three years later just has me a bit paranoid.
