These and a few cards make Counter Burn a strong decktype coming end of this month. Too bad Hammer of Bogardan is not reprinted. However, will Counterburn make a comeback?

Which of these cards is good vs Blastoderm or Saproling Burst?

In all honesty I don`t think combining powerful blue spells with the trash currently in red is very much of a good idea right now. Another idea that has to wait until MBC rotates away.

I think that a counter-burn deck in this environment would be interesting, but not successful. The counterspells they have now (Daze, Thwart, Foil, COunterspell, and soon, Suffocating Blast) really won't fit the theme that the good old counter-burn decks did, with the exception of the original Counterspell. The burn isn't looking that great either.
