Breaking Monkey Cage: Ya right. About the only thing I've ever broken is my arm.

4 Llanowar Elves
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Deranged Hermit
4 Yavimaya Granger
3 Thorn Elemental
2 Skyshroud Poacher
2 Phyrexian Colossus
1 Phyrexian Plaguelord

4 Victimize
3 Monkey Cage
3 Saploring Cluster
2 Creeping Mold
1 Vampiric Tutor

12 Forest
6 Swamp
3 Gaea's Cradle
2 Thran Quarry

The idea is to put a couple of fatties into the graveyard via Saploring Cluster, then play a Monkey Cage and Victimize those guys.
I think the Cage will trigger for both of them. I could be wrong though.

Well, that didn't recieve much attention. Oh well, I tryed
and it is rather fun to play.

I think that Monkey Cage and Living Death would be scary.
Will it trigger for all of those creatures coming into
play? If so, that would be great in Multi-player. I need
a few ideas for that. Anyone!

Thanx,

TAG GUARD

Actually, dude, I didn't really get a chance to look at it yet. I like it though, and as far as I know, if multiple creatures enter play simultaneously, they all trigger the Monkey Cage. Am I wrong on this anyone? LMK. Don't you need a few more fatties though? Cradle Guard may be good in this deck as a mid-sized fatty that can be gotten out quickly too.

... Nevermind, I see the Deranged Hermits now. Still, Cradle Guard may be a more monetarily economical choice for the less rich members here.

I actually see Monkey Cage as being somewhat viable in a German Dragon-type deck. Think about it, you can play huge creatures AND expensive artifacts at the same exact time. However, Snake Basket may be more viable in that type of deck as well. Either way, Monkey Cage is a much better version of Midsummer Revel. At least you're pretty much guaranteed a chance to get some creatures into play in comparison (only in comparison).

Dune,

"snip"
...monetarily economical choice for the less rich members here."

Good point, I was playing it on apprentice and didn't
give that much thought. Cradle Guard sounds like a
good choice to me. I was playing with Hermits because
they make a good target to Victimize.

I think the Cage will trigger as long as the creatures
come into play at the same time. I can't think of a
reason why it wouldn't, but I've been wrong so many
other times, I never know.

German Dragon would probably work good but I just love
the idea of Living Death. Think of all those 2/2 green
weenies. Do you have any good Death decks on file? I
don't have anything other than early Rec/Sur.

Thanx,
Caveman
