You have decided to take the blade and the bottle and head down the stairs.

The air in this place as you head down the steps is cooler and more wet. The amount of moss and clinging mold on the wall increases, as does the number of strange insects and worms on the walls and floor.

Soon, the stair case ends at a hall way going both right and left. Dead ahead of you on the wall is a lever, made of steel with a wooden grip. It is about 8 inches long and is in the "up" position.

To the left, you see a strange light, a greenish glow that is entirely unnatural. You can not make out it's source.

To the right all is pitch black, but you are sure that you can make out the sounds of voices.

Lucky for you, your newly found short sword gives off just enough light to see down here.

Choose your path...

A Go left.
B Go right.
C Pull the lever down and then go left.
D Pull the lever down and then go right.
E Run back up the stairs to the locked gate and screem for help.

I guess I'll be cautious and not pull the lever. And everyone knows that when you find a fork in the road you go left.

Actually, I would have said Just Pull the Lever. It doesn't make sense to pull it and not wait to see what happens.

But, without many people voting, there will be more ties and no-votes that way, and less of a "mandate" from the readers.

You don't have to max out the polls. The one above would have been sufficient if you just said Go Left, Go Right, Pull Lever, Run Back and Scream
