Card creation in M:TG

I've seen more and more often this little fad starting up where people like to create magic cards based off of themselves, popular TV and comic characters, and just about whatever else they want.

Now wouldn't it be an interesting take for WotC to start up a thing on the side to actually start printing customized, unplayable, cards? It would be a bit like this whole Nike shoe customization, only it would involve cards. People could send in pics of themselves or something for them to print on the card for artwork, or have a defalt giant mana symbol in place of artwork... The cards could also be 6x9 or something to ensure unplayability.

Okay... I'm just rambling... I need to go take some more cold medicine...

Like Cap'n "Zombie" Crunch, in each delicious box of dead, dried up Zombie parts you'd find a Magic Card related to well, ...Zombies!

The 'fad' is usually led by the less experienced players; Scrye at one point had several pages dedicated to such cards... nowdays, though, I don't know.

I personally think non-humorus cards (such as the sets at http://www.magiclampoon.com ) a bit droll.
