Bad Giant Tribal Deck [EDH]

[Oversoul]

I built a bad Giant Tribal deck with Bartel Runeaxe as commander. I was going to run Giant Harbinger and Surtland Flinger, but it turned out I didn't own any copies, so I threw Cosmic Horror and Sneak Attack in as last-minute swaps.

Heh. Not having had the time to build different deck, I kept this silly thing around and played it some more last night. It always loses, but I get to cast some giants, so it works out.

Right before the LGS closed, I had a really close game against my friend's deck helmed by Roalesk, Apex Hybrid. His deck should have been far superior and crushed me, but I cast Damnation when he was tapped out and then brought some of the giants back from my graveyard, bringing him down to 2 life. I'd have won if I'd used my Demonic Tutor to grab Reanimate for my Inferno Titan, but I used Bonecrusher Giant's "Stomp" adventure instead and Eric was able to Nature's Claim his own Sol Ring to save himself. Then I was at 36 and he attacked me for 38, so I didn't get another chance to finish him off. Great game, and not a bad showing for Two-Headed Giant of Foriys.

Earlier in the evening, I'd also had my Frost Giant get put in an Oubliette, which was pretty funny.

I came kind of close to winning a long game with this deck. I cast Living Death and the Thundercloud Shaman it brought back came along with nine other giants. So I got some hits in, but ultimately some better deck won out.
