Red Deck, sucks badly

I have my deck, and I almost got clobbered by a single creature with protection from red. Besides adding artifacts, what is some way i can protect from this kind of creature?
This is my deck:

1 Melee
2 Ambush Parties
2 Thunderbolts
1 Urza's Incubator

1 Trumpet Blast
4 Rolling Thunders
2 Arc Lightnings
1 Spitting Earth
1 Parch
1 Searing Spear Askari
1 Goblin War Drums
1 Fireball
1 AEther Sting
1 Flailing Soldier
1 Jagged Lightning
1 Mark of Fury
1 Flowstone Crusher
1 Goblin Hero
1 Sudden Impact

Any recommendations for improving this deck for the above situation or just in general will be appreciated. Thanks.

ok look, here is the basic red structure that you need to follow
15 mountains(14 okay)
4 incinerates
4 shocks
4 seals of fire
4 flame jets
4 keldon champions
2 scent of cinders
then anything else that you want
i have a 49 card burn deck, that kills 3,4,5 turn. usually by 4th turn i have a keldon champion out. that does 6 damage if the opponnent doesn't have any creatures. then the previous turn, i have done about about 11 damage maybe 15. so that extra 6 takes them down to 3 or -1. i'll post me burn deck up here in a few

... artifacts are pretty much the way to go. The only other red spell is perhaps Jokulhaups.

Red deck doesn't suck, you just need to use it right. My advice, use mostly spells, a few creatures, like Covetous Dragons, then Artifact Creatures from there. after that, you might have a great deck.

riva.. ive never lost to your "burn deck"

its not that great. youve never done any more then 7 damage to me by the 4th turn.


anywho, if u wanna get aorund pro red, then add a thran lens

Also, make it 60 cards. This tends to discourage hard feelings.

Try making the list more compact. Use 4 of one card, as opposed to 1 of several (unless you are playing "The Deck")

Card you need 4 of:
Pillage
Shock
Lightning bolt
Fireblast (If you can get them)

Card you may want to add:
Reckless abandon
More Goblin Marshals
Ghitu Encampment
Cursed scroll (If you can get one)
