Yet another magic format

There's Peasant Magic, ABC Magic, Highlander, All Common decks, and a plethora of others.

How about "Magic for the Reading impaired"?

Here it is:
Only creature cards that have one word abilities from the core sets are allowed like:
~Trample
~Flying
~Landwalk
~Fear
~Vigilance
First Strike is two words ;)

I think there are others but I can't remember them now.

All non-creature, non-activated spells can only have one sentence. :)

In a highlander format?

Since when are you from WI?

Since when do you guys read my threads!?! :p

Okay, I had to post quickly and didn't explian myself very well,...at all :(

I'M starting this new format.

One word "Keyword" abilities. And that's it! No activation abilities or triggered abilities either.

So plain vanilla creature cards or creature cards with a one word ability are the only creatures you can use.

examples: Grizzly Bear or Hill Giant for plain vanilla creatures & River Bear (Islandwalk) or Raging Goblin (Haste) for creatures with only one word "Keyword" abilities.

All other cards must have only one sentence and no activated or triggered abilities on them.

examples of one sentence spells: Pacifisim, Shock, Diabolic Edict, Counterspell, Stream of Life, Howling Mine, etc...

Mooseman: I once lived in LaCross way back in 1981!

Sounds very interesting. You planning on doing this here or just in general?
If its here can it be a "let build a deck" type of thing.
! card per person, per day. But I take it that this is not Highlander format.....

Hey, I once stopped to pee in LaCross in 1997, but I don't claim it as my bathroom...... :D

Or, we could all (those interested anyway) build a deck and hold a tournament...

Do we forsee any cards that need to be banned ;)

Maybe we could ban cards that add other-keyword abilities or remove them.

I'm definitely interested.

I think he already did.

I wouldn't mind a try at this format. I have 10 minutes to spare.........

I didn't know if he meant that the creatures themselves could only have them and no spells could add them.

*Ransac puts his dunce cap on and farts in front of the class.*

Yeah, that's what I meant. No spells that can give creatures things like "Double-Strike" or "Shadow" or the like. Not even spells like "Hermetic Study" or "Pemmin's Aura."

Also, we should ban Merfolk of the Pearl Trident......... because I said so.

A creature can't EVER have an activated ability added to it because non-creature spells can't have any wording whatsoever about activated or trigger abilities on it.

In other words, spells that give creatures an ability other than the "One-Word" core set abilities can't be used.

Also: Non-basic lands that have activated abilities or triggered abilities can't be used either.

Here are the "official" one-word keyword abilities that can be used:
~Trample
~Flying
~Landwalk
~Fear
~Vigilance
~Haste

Spells that give creatures non-core set abilities like Shadow, Fading, et al are not allowed.

Let's make this a Highlander deck.

NO. Only one-word, core set 'Keyword' abilities.

You can give a creature flying but not banding or first strike, or shadow, fading, flanking,..none of that stuff
