or the morgue toad and I was left with gating creatures. I would have hands were I would have 2 lava zombies and a cavern Harpy and no creatures in play. Definitely don't want to play with 2 many gaters.

That's a No-No, folks. Bad Things(tm). You'll end up drawing two or more, and that's all she wrote, because you'll lose so much tempo it won't even be funny.

First of all, the bastards are mana hogs. I mean, 2 mana to pump? God. You'll spend all your mana on one, no questions asked. A second in play is often dead weight (4/3 dead weight, but still dead weight). You've got a few cards that interact well with the Zombies (Familiars, Flametongue, Mire), but not too many - And the one-drop slot has only Carriers. Two drops are... Uh... Cavern Harpy doesn't count, so the Familiars. That's pretty bad, I hear.

I would drop one of the Zombies, no matter what. And I _would_ play the Harpies, but probably as my only blue cards. Well, no, I'd mix in the Charm too, since it's broken. :) (J?K on the broken part< of course!)
