What counts as overboard? I used Necropotence in the highlander game and everyone jumped on me, but I could do so much more with moxes...

Hmm... well, normally I'd say play with cards you actually own, but if we're not doing that, then no more than 2 cards from the B/R List.

The only game where I used cards I actually own was the first one. Otherwise my tribal capabilities would be reduced to maybe three tribes (walls and maybe wizards or beasts or clerics or something) and the decks would really suck.

The deck I'm using actually had five restricted cards before I made my final changes to it. Now I think it has three. I have no qualms with using cards on the restricted list, but I thought that in the first or second game we decided to stay away from the power nine. Not that one Mox Pearl is a big deal, but if we can accelerate our decks with moxes, then who won't do it? Maybe the two restricted cards per deck thing could work...

As for this game, if that thing about the power nine even happened as I remembered, it predates the administration thread and probably never made it there, so DF is breaking no rule by using any number of moxes. So I say he's free to do so for this game.

Yeah, I think I'm in the same boat, card-owner wise. Certainly I don't have a full set of Bringers....

I think I've used Sol Ring and Strip Mine, but have stayed away from the Power 9... what say everyone else?

Works for me.... just don't load your deck up with broken cards.
Leave the Power 9 out of decks.....

You know, thinking about this, I think it was more for the card-drawing part than it was actually part of the B/R List... :)

Okay, so I'll modify the rules for the future (Tribal 9 and onward) that the format will be Vintage with only two cards max total from the B/R List and NO Power 9.
