X: Testament of Faith becomes an X/X Wall creature until end of turn.
It's still an enchantment. (Walls can't attack.)

Okay, fine, it's not a single-card strategy. But...

Testament of Faith + Unnatural Selection = A X/X creature that, if you pay 1 to turn it into a non-Wall, can swing for you during your turn and be immune to Wrath and things of that nature.

Ow.

Altar of Dementia, perhaps? Very mana-intensive, but very amusing, too...

The only thing I can think of that doesent require a stream of mana would be exactly what you said Istanbul, a pumpable chimeric idol. You just need a support card that changes creature type or lets walls attack. Rolling stones is in 7th, perhaps a deck idea can emerge?

...I compare this card to the artifact from Saga that does the same thing, and I am saddened.
