Tectonic Instability

I have a habit (and am working to develop it) of going to Apprentice, "randomly" selecting cards until I find one that interests me, and trying to build decks around them. This time I got Tectonic Instability.

I am having trouble putting this card to serious use. I have made attempts with it by including other cards that work with lands but once I realized it made no sense I stopped. I fooled around with this setup:

3 Burgeoning
4 Tectonic Instability
Other stuff like Natural Emergence, Exploration, Nature's Revolt

It seems to me that at best it's SB against permission but I want to give it a chance in the main deck.
Maybe with Overburden in a weird control deck?

Here's my advice on Tectonic Instability. You need to use the Prophecy tap cards:

Branded Brawlers
Veteran Brawlers
Rishadan Port
Chimeric Idol
Well of Discovery
Rhystic Lightning

You can supplement Green to entice your opponent to play lands.

Fallow Earth
Plow Under

Some blue cards that work well are

Rhystic Study
Mana Breach
Mana Short

I think NorYtt's got the right idea (BTW welcome to the CPA).

Other mechanics that I think that would work well with it
Land bouncing - Plow Under and Fallow Earth are monsters (as is Temporal Spring), and even standard land bounce will be annoying like Hoodwink, Rushing River, Boomerang, etc. Umbilicus could be a good support card.

An annoying lock down would be Winter Orb, and you can run land untappers like Krosan Restorer, or Argothian Elder to untap your lands, or simply an Icy to tap the Orb.
