I know this is about a week too old, but I don't get to post that often...
Anyone that follows either kind of football on either side of the Atlantic probably heard about this: Billionaire Malcolm Glazer has purchased majority control of the Manchester United, one of the best-known European football (soccer, to those of you in the 'States).
As an occasional resident of the Tampa Bay area (I own property there and I hear it's quite nice) I can't be happier. Tampa Bay has been without a soccer team for a while and I know that a lot of people there are pretty upset about that. Well, now that the Glazers own it I can imagine that they will be at least holding exposition games there and this might be enough to get people interested in the game enough to get another team.
