This time, Spiderman and Gerode both stopped the bidding on round 4 (2 gem cost). Considering this card can be sold for 5 gems if needed, paying 2 gems is a bit of a steal. In this case, literally. Here are the cards played when the bids were stopped:
Gerode: Stop
rkoelsch: Stop
Spiderman: Stop
Jigglypuff: Strike
So, just like last round, the bid goes to the person who Struck at the right time.
Current turn: Spiderman (0 income)
Gems/Resources (color-points-income):
Gerode: 13 / Lean-to (tan-20-2)
rkoelsch: 15 / none
Spiderman: 15 / none
Jigglypuff: 13 / Wild Boar (green-50-0)
Sold Resources: none
Of course, the question you need to be asking yourself is if you could have gotten it by stopping the bid a bit sooner, or would you have ended up in bidlock (tie on all 3 accounts)? Don't forget that if you run out of gems, you can (and sometimes must) sell resources.
This time, we are playing for People. That's a companionship resource (purple) and it's another 50-point resource.
Bids are due Wednesday, but if you can get them in sooner, we can move on sooner...
