Return of Spikes

Saw this in Mark's article today...

With all the +1/+1 counters running around Mirrodin, we toyed around early in design with bringing back the spikes. The set ended up being too busy to support them, but I promise someday the spikes will return.

I took it as he meant there wasn't enough room in this block...

And WoTC could have the room if they wanted...

Only one spike needs to be reprinted: Spike Canibal. They can steal counters from everyone like those spirits from recent sets, Aplify creatures, and clockwork critters...

The scariest thing is the fact that in my newest stack of junk I've spent my phony $100 bill on has on the top a spike colony.... sad really.

Spike Cannibal is good, but Spike Rogue would also be useful to help move them around and around... :)

Never mind, just read about Power Conduit which basically does the same thing on MagicTheGathering...
