Question about Legends

What exactly are the rules concerning legends. By legends I mean cards like Multani, Maro Sorcerer, and Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary. Are you only allowed to have a specific number in a deck or is it just one allowed in play at a time? Also does this count with legendary lands, and artifacts too? Thanks in advance

If a card's Legendary, only one can be in play at a time. New ones are sacked. The same goes for legendary lands, artifacts, etc... Other than that, no special rules apply.

lets get more specific.

a legend is a normal card in all aspects except one(no special deck construction rules apply to them)

If there is a legend in play, a legend w/ the SAME CARD NAME, the newest is buried.
(I.E. a cho-manno is in play and another cho is cast)

What if you gave a legend phasing. Then a new one is cast. When the old one phases in, which is destroyed.

Even better yet, could you give two copies of the same legend phasing such that they never 'saw' each other.

Pop quiz: you have a gaia's cradle in play w/ four creatures of non-mana-producing origin. You also have a gaea's cradle in your hand. Can you cast your cradle, and in a response to scrificing it, use it?

BTW, if the legends never meet, they should be fine. Same could be said if you parallaxed them.

when the legend phases in, K1, it is considered the newest one and is buried.
this uses the "timestamp" rules from 6th ed.

Duel, Under 5th edition rules, yes you could; however, under sixth, the legend is buried is an effect like being at zero life.
It happens immediatly, and cannot be responded to.

If cho-manno met himself, it would be like a wierd episode of the twilight zone, if you can imagine that!
