As has happened many times in the last 2 weeks, much of the new Onslaught spoiler has caused me to want to brush off some of the dust from some older cards and ideas. The card in question is... Kaboom! - 4R Sorcery (rare) Choose any number of target players. For each of those players, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a nonland card. Kaboom! deals damage equal to that card's converted mana cost to that player, then you put the revealed cards on the bottom of your library in any order. Yeah it has a goofy name, but take a look at the significance this card can have in a big MP game. Now imagine it if you pre-empt it with a Worldly Tutor for a Draco. That is some serious fire-power. The problem is that relies on a non-permanent combo It got me to thinking about another card that likes to work with Draco, and that is Pyromancy. The problem is the 2 (Kaboom! and Pryo) don't necessarily combo well together - Kaboom! wants Draco on top of your library (in turn sending it to the bottom of your library) and Pyromancy wants Draco in your hand to discard. Is it worth trying to build a deck that attempts to support both mechanics? In the mean time, I'm actually going to combine Kaboom! with a previous deckbuild of Call of the Wild to see if that can work. My #1 goal is to get that card working.
