No disenchant or removal? You could block with both guys and since one has banding, shift all of the dmg to the wall and then do the same the next turn if you put out another guy or just put it all on the infantry...

But if not, yeah, that's tough.

Mooseman

Isengar Tussle
Did you miss the trample part?
7 this turn and at least 10 next..... What is the use?
I had one card to remove it, but not until I take 17-19 damage (Mortal Wound)

I don't mind playing when there is a chance, but this was insane.

Yeah, but with banding, you can assign all of the attacker's dmg to the creature. You don't have to assign some of the dmg to the creature and the trample dmg to yourself :)

I still assume that you have to take it as trample damage, but I don't know. Aren't you the DCI judge?

Incidentally, I didn't do this specifically to be a jerk. I just figured that I may as well make the best possible play for the format. So no hard feelings.

It's been a while since I dealt with trample and banding..... I think Spidey may be right, since the banding controller does assign damage....

It may be a moot point since you only need one other creature and I would be be hard pressed to put out enough blockers

I'm 98% sure with banding creature, the only thing that changes is that the defending player assigns the dmg as opposed to the attacking player.

So in a normal situation, rokapoke could assign all of his dmg to a blocking creature, leaving none of it to trample over to Mooseman. So if you substitute Mooseman for rokapoke, he has the same options.

But like I said, it's only good if you can take care of the Armor or creature in time. If you can't, yeah, you might as well concede and get on with the next game :)

It's a great play and shows the "brokeness" of this type of card in this format :) Same with Black Vise, Sudden Impact, Maro, etc.

Either way, Moose, how do you feel about a Weatherlight rematch? I figure the odds of a second broken pack will be pretty low...

Mooseman

Isengar Tussle
That sounds good.... If you would have known the banding/trample rule you would have played it different.
