Even worse: I propose we each PM Ransac to say how much life we'll bid in order to start. Then he can tell us in which order we get to play!

I think only spidey loses the life he bid (thats how it goes with normal mindmaster).
Maybe next time (if there is going to be one) the ones who bids the most life loses his entire bid, the second player loses half of their bid (rounded up) and the third doesn't lose any life.

Well, since the rules don't really cover MP, I think I would lose my 3 life and then you two would bid on who goes second. Then that winner loses their life in bid.
To skip that skip and save time, we'd say the first and second place winners just lose their bid while the third place keeps their life total.
