Life Deck....

Sorry to post again.
My problem with this deck is something I cannot define. I know it is too large; but I cannot figure out what to remove and/or add to it. Any help is greatly appreciated! the only game I've played with it I got up to a life total of 50(I swear) and lost!!!

Any help focusing this deck would really help. I play a person who uses tons of enchantments and artifacts. Budget:low thanks once again!

 

[Oversoul]

Armadillo Cloak (a common) comes to mind instantly for this deck. I'm not sure what else. Maybe Soul Warden...

Luckily most lifegain cards are incredibly easy to get.

Blessed Reversal
Peace Garden Oath( W gain 2 life for each creature you control)
Congregate (2W gain 2 life for each creature in play)
Spirit Link
Heroes Reunion from invasion (GW gain 7 life)
Nourish GG(Gain 7/8 life)

You might want to try a Sun Droplet and living artifact.. gain 1 each upkeep, gain 2 during yours.

i'd remove
Grizzly Bears (you can get better common beef for 1G)
Fangren Pathcutter(too expensive when he only benefits your other creatures)
Karma (too color specific.. if you want to hurt black, use a swampwalker as backup, blanchwood armor on a swampwalk creature is pain)
Cockatrice (replace with lowland basilisk, he cost 2G and does the same thing, for the same price you could play a basilisk to kill any land based attacker and gain 7 life)


thing about this deck is it lacks focus..
most of the best decks do 1 of 2 things..
they have a main idea and protect the hell out of it, or tutor for certain pieces
another has many paths leading to one...

you have throwaway creatures that kill theirs like the serpent.. which rocks..
but thats completely defensive..
whereas you have some aggressive cards dropped in there..


id try to streamline it as


early beef... if that doesnt work you have pacifisms and spirit links to stop attackers

artifact and enchantment hate

and lifegain to prolong the game.. until... um.....

Now before anyone 'goes-off' just let me say that sometimes looking at a net.dec can conjure up some ideas that may or may not be listed. Or perhaps starting all over again and maybe only share the basic skeleton of a net.dec but make the rest your own.

Ever made a "Sligh" deck on your own before? Well, the idea had to come from some where and I'm sure a card or two appeared on a net.dec.

I'm not saying to "COPY" this deck, I'm just sayin' maybe there's something listed here that MAY or may not help you.

You have a cockitrice in there, why not replace it with a lowland basilisk and splash in a lure. Gets rid of those pesky ground pounders, as well as fliers. Just an idea to use to protect yourself until your life-gain comes to bear...If you can aquire it, Mirari's Wake is a very useful card, especially with your life theme in mind here.
