Jhoira of the Ghitu

Okay, let's build this deck. I want to take advantage of Jhoira's awesome ability. I'm not sure if a tier 1/2/3 deck has already been made (probably), but let's just start.

4x Jhoira of the Ghitu (She's the focus of the deck)

4x Aeon Chronicler (duh)

3-4x Greater Gargadon (GO GARGADON!)

2-3x Detritivore (I'm thinking 2 will be fine, we don't need much more)



Okay, that's the obvious stuff. Maybe Capsize, to abuse the splended suspendedness. Evacuation as well?

Fury Charm is very useful.

There are a slew of cards that you may not be able to cast any other way, but which are still fantastic, even with a 4-turn delay. Plague Wind, Decree of Pain, and Overwhelming Forces each have advantages. Since you're playing with some amazing fatties, Tooth and Nail is fun. Instead of suspending Greater Gargadon for 4 turns, you suspend Tooth and Nail and get two Greater Gargadons. If you're looking more for on-colour cards, then Niv Mizzet, the Firemind, Akroma, Angel of Fury, and Bogardan Hellkite are all excellent options.

One problem is if Jhoira is not on the table, there isn't much this deck can do...

So why not add some signets and other mana generators to start helping you do stuff?

This deck is begging for a way to clear the board. If you have Akroma suspended to come out next turn, Wrath of God would be amazing. If Bogardan Hellkite is supsended, Armageddon would be brutal. Or you could go with my all-time favourite board-sweeper, Razia's Purification.

It looks like a decently solid deck. However, in the casual spirit, I want to break the suspend sorcery cards as well. Any ideas?

The angels seem a bit pointless to me. The idea is to exploit Jhoira's suspending ability. Besides the fact that it's an awesome creature, what's the point of having a creature with haste in the deck?

there's not much to hold the game board early on... I figured the angel would be a good start... so Jhoira didn't have to be used as fodder...

ditto with the turn buyers... it allows for further removal of counters, and keeps the opponent at bay that much longer...
