RIP...

He took a lot of heat early on - from religious groups, and later on from the purists who accused him of stealing his ideas...

Either way, he was instrumental in bringing the RPG to life.

(Here I thought I'd break the news, but Sagerider beat me to it).

Wow... I talked to this guy a lot at GenCon and had no clue who the hell he was... Even gave him directions because he said he didn't know where anything was...
