Few wacky Questions

I was having a friendly little game w/ a friend and came upon a few little problems.

1)Mistforms say "tap (number) manahis creature becomes a creature type of your choice." I was badly winning a made mistforms into cookies;) My friend said that is not possible because no such creature is a cookie. so i changed my mistforms into "couch/ Potato" He said I couldn't do that. There is an unglued card that is a potato though, I have seen it.:D He knew that i was just messin' around though so he let that go by. I imagined seeing 4 slivers sittin next to a big screen watchin' the game while fighting in a battle against goblins and such. Can it work with either situation???

    2) (a more serious question in my more wacky creations)
I discard his Akroma from his hand and i use the Chainer's ability to bring back the angel as a 7/7, He says I can't do this because she has protection from black. I just said that it is in the graveyard and is just a card w/ letters and a bird w/ blue hair with no abilities at all. I am forced to take a different card. Can I take Akroma??

You must pick from printed creature types. A rule that came along with Volrath's Lab.

    And

    2) Yes
  3. Nightstalkers Creature — Nightstalker

Tou know master shake, you could have just gone to wotc's site or something and got the official list and just pasted it.

Oh, and Sand Warrior is not a creature type. It's actually two: Sand and Warrior seperately. That's right, Sand is a creature type. Look it up!
  5. Master Shake New Member

Actually, Sand Warrior is a creature type. Some cards printed before the ruling had obscure creature types (Goblin Scout, Gorilla Pack, Poison Snake, Scavenger Folk, Singing Tree, Wolverine Pack.) and keep these types even after the ruling.

The tokens that come from some card, I think it is Goblin Trenches. These tokens has Goblin Warriors. Not Gobins, and not Warriors. Obscure cards like that have their own unique creature types. This was something that was on Saturday School, some weeks ago.
  6. EricBess Active Member

Actually, "Sand Warrior" is NOT a creature type. Creature types are all 1-word. So something that said "Creature - Sand Warrior" would have 2 creature types, "Sand" and "Warrior".
  7. Reverend Love New Member

OOooohh AND THE LAST WORD GOES TO MR. ERICBESS!
  8. Master Shake New Member

All right, I looked it up again. What they had done was add hyphons to older creature types. Apprently some (Sand Warrior) had been passed up, while others (Ball Lighting, Assembly Worker, Lady of Proper Etiquite.) were not. I had assumed, since it was such an obscure creature type, and there are no other creatures with the type of "Sand", that it had been done in a simillar fashion.

    Mostly Compete list!

That is a more complete list, it includes Unglued and Portal creature types, which are legal choices for mistform abilities. I added in Human, Vedalken, Myr, and Pentivite, I am not sure if there are anymore that were released between Scourge and Darksteel.

It is more time consuming to copy the list, and then make it slightly more vertical...

    I have no life.
  13. chunkymonky1053 the caucasian-asian

Could I also play a mistform "Crocodile Hunter?" That would be kind of funny.
Or maybe a "Fallen Raider"... The list goes on.

To be completly technical, you, in a tournament, have to chose a Creature Type that exists in Magic.

If your friend doesn't care and you're NOT going to get a judge asking 'what are those tokens' while you're playing... Well, if your friend doesn't mind your Mistforms being 'Toze' creatures... go for it.

A friend of mine was facing down four Mahamoti Djinns with an Unnatural Selection in play... and an Ensnairing Bridge to hold them off...

Instead of using the 'legend' trick, he made them, in order from his opponent's right to left, a 'your,' a 'mamma,' an 'izza,' and a 'ho.'

    Much laughter ensued.

    That was a cute trick...:D
