Eon Hub needs help!

I thought it be fun to build a deck around Eon Hub, just because it totally screws up some decks if they have to skip the upkeep. This is what I came up with:

I've played the deck twice now, and both times it did nothing but kill myself :(

Is it too dependent on Eon Hub? Perhaps mono-black isn't the way to go?
Help wanted!

Turn one: Carnophage
Turn two: Carnophage
Turn three: Dross Harvester
Turn four: no land drop :(
Turn five: still no land :(
and then the Dross Harvester got killed without gaining me any life

Maybe the problem is playing only 22 lands?

Hmm... well, if this is "casual" format, it seems you need the Hub right away... so stick in all the possible tutoring spells you can.

I guess some mana acceleration would be good too... good ol' Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Fellwar Stone, Charcoal Diamonds, something like that...

You've only played 2 games so not sure about mana screw yet... maybe add in just one land to see.

What to take out for all this stuff, beats me.. shave off some of the 4x stuff, I guess.

If your deck is geared to toss out the Eon Hub ASAP, then I don't see why you wouldn't be tossing in a Grinning Demon or something (that's what my casual deck did).

Your deck is cheap and bent on kill fast or be killed (by your own spells). Eon Hub costs 5 mana. With 22 lands, it won't be for turn 7 or something until you can play it, IF you have it.

Eon Hub be more synergistic with control oriented decks. I would combine it with some ot the following cards. I used Gatherer searching with 'upkeep'.

White
-Cover of Winter (add age counters and not pay the price, yeah baby!)
-Defender en-Vec (2/4 and free damage prevention)
-Inner Sanctum
-Karmic Guide (cute with or without Eon Hub, as is Radiant's Dragoons)
-Parallax Wave (and get banned from the playgroup ;))
-Sacred Mesa
-Sustaining Spirit
-Wall of Shards

Blue
-Binding Grasp (meh)
-Dreams of the Dead
-Icy Prison (suddenly excellent removal)
-Imaginary Pet
-Illusionairy Forces (hmm..." Eon Hub Illusion tribal.dec")
-Jolting Merfolk
-Mystic Might (major style point, you can borrow mine)
-Polar Kraken
-Survivor of the Unseen
-Taniwha
-Temporal Distortion ((ugh)
-Thought Lash (now that might be interesting)

Blue has a lot of creatures with Echo, an upkeep or cumulative upkeep. Interesting.

Black
-Contamination/ Infernal Darkness (once again, ugh)
-Decaying Soil (looks cool, also for your current deck)
-Greater Harvester
-Grinning Demon
-Kezzerdrix (also good without the Hub)
-Koskun Falls
-Some demons and Oni Possession
-Parallax Nexus
-Phobian Phantasm
-Phyrexian Etchings
-Shauku, Endbringer

Red
-Ancient Hydra (another cool Fading creature)
-Brand of Ill Omen ( )
-Cinder Giant
-Cosmic Larva (probably too risky)
-Keldon Vandals/ Champion
-Mudslide (hmm...)
-Planar Chaos ( :D )
-Rogue Sky Captain
-Scoria Wurm/ Skitterish Valesk (flip a coin eon hub.dec?)

Green
-Artic Wolves
-Blastoderm
-Darba
-Elephant Grass (nice)
-Freyalise's Winds
-Fyndhorn Pollen
-Ritual of Subdual
-Woodripper

Other
-Glacial Chasm
-Vanish Into Memory (vanish indeed)
-Moroii
-Lim-Dul's Palladin's
-Karona
-Grim Feast
-Earthlink
-Benthic Djinn
-Soldevi Simulacrum
-(Razormane) Masticore
-Phyrexian Soulgorger

Apparantly there are enough cards thatare very good or fun with Eon Hub. Some are aggressive, but most of them are quite 'defensive'. I'm curious what kind of Eon Hub decks you 'll be building!
