    Planechase 2012 Card Previews

Enchant World is a deprecated card type from regular Magic. It was changed to "World Enchantment." They haven't printed any since Mirage block and no one misses them. The thing in Chaos Magic, and I also do not remember the details, that Spiderman is thinking of is "EnchantWorldLand." A strange...

    Microprose Magic PC game

Yeah, I totally still play this game (I believe that the version I have was from The Home of the Underdogs, which I downloaded probably in 2003 or so, and that when I copied all my files from my old computer and put them on this computer, the game came along, but I really do have at least some...

    An adventure

Thialu Ethadran, Mycologist Extraordinaire Elf (Rando never said anything about what races live in this city, but if we already have a dwarf and a halfling, I'm guessing elf is another possibility), female, young, medium stature. Thialu really, really, really loves mushrooms. Animals and plants...

Warhammer Quest: Death Below Karak Azgal

The dwarf opens the door... Little remains in this room except an ornate sarcophagus in the far corner, though it is evident that at one time this room contained a lot of treasure, as the remains of smashed urns, vases, and chests litter the floor. There also looks to have been some conflict...

    Magic: Commander #1

Been busy with school, but I did hastily throw together a decklist at some point, I think. Might need to trim it down, but whatever.

Well, unsurprisingly, I just ran into another article criticizing something from the History Channel. Not the best or even remotely most scathing example, but it's the one I've encountered most recently. I'm sure that you can find juicier stuff with search engines if you're so inclined...

So I'm watching this Vietnam War documentary and...

It could be a bit of both. I mean, I can't be sure either. But that's my suspicion. Not much of a market for that, apparently? Hm, that sounds like my reasoning for why all documentaries are biased. So what you're saying is that the onus for bias isn't on the documentary, but on the human(s)...

So I'm watching this Vietnam War documentary and...

The History Channel is a joke. I can't remember too many concrete examples as it's been years since I actually saw anything on the History Channel, but I'm not surprised that you found something there lacking. Occasionally I've run into essays on the internet where actual historians found some...

    Magic: Commander #1

I tried to post here on Saturday and got an error message. Today's the first day I've been able to actually post since then. And judging by the lack of posts in that time, I might not have been the only one with this problem. Anyway, the gist of my post was something about what Spiderman said...

Warhammer Quest: Death Below Karak Azgal

Throg could not possibly eat stonebread. It's too hard. He never understood how dwarves do it. Of course, Throg can carry stonebread around if he wants. It's not like the stuff is going to spoil. I'm assuming that this is meant to refer to the corridor, not the sand trap room, as the latter...

    Avacyn Restored Card Previews

Only if you use it on yourself. The puzzling thing is that my impression, and it may be wrong, is that this is very unlike some of the things WotC has done in the past where they went too far with something. In the past, a lot of powerful cards and mechanics had WotC going, "Oops." But with...

    Magic: Commander #1

On closer inspection, the banned list for Commander in Magic Online, which actually is official, appears to simply be derived from the banned list on the EDH site. The DCI-sanctioned list is missing Black Lotus, the moxen, Time Walk, and Ancestral Recall, presumably because they were never...

Warhammer Quest: Death Below Karak Azgal

Yes, Kelgar bravely charged in when he saw Carrow being attacked. I figure as long as Melkor isn't around, Kelgar should at least be working to defend the rest of the party, rather than just standing around while everyone gets eaten by ghouls or whatever. The pack contains a Potion of Pain...

    Magic: Commander #1

So, what's the plan regarding deckbuilding? Commander now has a sanctioned banned list through the DCI, but it's only for Magic Online, of course. I know that when we started this one, there was some confusion regarding whether any cards were banned, and Mooseman generously changed his Mox Jet...

    Sept. 20, 2010 B/R Announcement

Well, I haven't seen any rigorous analysis to properly inform that question, but my general impression is that the metagame was really favoring CounterTop decks (well, also Zoo, but Zoo has been pretty stable in its competitiveness for quite a while) around the time Survival got the axe, and...

Warhammer Quest: Death Below Karak Azgal

The sand is still piling up. It hasn't gotten high enough to pour into the corridor where Throg is standing, but it shows no signs of draining anywhere. However, Kelgar retrieves the only visible object in the room other than the ghoul corpses before he walks out. It's an old backpack.
