Burning Bridge- Raging Pain Deck

Hey guys
i am new here and i just wanted 2 get some input on my deck.

what i'm trying 2 do is make an 8th edition legal burn deck.

it is called burning bridge because it uses ensnarling bridge 2 put a lock on the opponent.

here is my decklist, can i please get some input?

22 mountain

3 grim lavamancer
2 blistering firecat

2 lava dart
4 shock
4 firebolt
4 volcanic hammer
4 solfuric vortex
3 browbeat
4 ensnaring bridge
2 starstorm
4 violent eruption
4 furnace of rath

SIDEBOARD:
4 flaring pain
4 carbonize
2 blistering firecat
4 boil
4 blood moon


can i plz get sum help??

just 2 say.. this deck works fairly well, i have only tested it against r/g beats, and i won most of the time

This is a nice decklist, I like a lot of the ideas you have in here (like E.Bridge and Furnace of Rath), But I think your mana curve might be a little too high for the amount of lands you play.

1CC - 13
2CC - 4
3CC - 11
4CC - 10
XCC - 2

62 cards, 22 lands. My gut feeling is that you should cut 1 Furnace and 1 Violent Eruption, or 2 Furnaces.

that sounds like a good idea, i will try that out and see how it looks and works

lol it was so funy last night i was playing sum1 with a r/g beats deck and i had 3 furnace of rath out and then cast a blistering firecat

it was funny stuff

Man... I was going to suggest Lightning Bolts...:rolleyes: :( ;) :cool:

Anywho... maybe drop the darts, and put the other cats in main... Firecat Blitz even?...

I think it works well - because your firecats can attack under the bridge...

And you don't have to worry about killing them with your Starstorms...

and it has Flashback...;)

If so - Lightning Rift would be nice...

no none of my friends play any version of astral slide

these are the decks i am most likely to face wen facing my friends:

physcatog
r/g beats
clerics
wizards (counter)
mbc
zombies-reanimator


but is there n e thing that can make my deck better?

Steamclaw is something that can get rid of graveyards... tog, mbc, zombies...

That's all I can think of...

I'd throw a couple big boom cards in there as well. Something which does hoop load of damage to all creatures and players. Reason being generally you should be ahead on the life total so eating 6 (as with a pyroclasm) won't hurt you as much as your opponent. Sorry I can't give you any specific suggestions as they've blocked my beloved crystalkeep at the proxy....bungholes.

Drop a bridge. Because all decks that use an artifact of that kind such as Millstone, Static orb, Winter orb, they all establish some sort of lockdown. You usually only need three in the deck. I played 4 Static orb in my opposition orb deck and I always had 1 extra sitting in my hand. IDK, Just a suggestion

Wht about Chain of plasma for your 2CC slot. It is a little lacking.........
